Do I Need To Get Rabies Shot For Dog Bite?

Hello, i just wanna ask. My dog bit me on my hands. It bleeds. I wash it with soap. Out dog is already vaccinated. I think the vaccine is good for 1yr and it has the 1yr and 1 month. I got my tetanus shot. Do i need to get an anti rabbies shot? Our dog is an inside dog. Please answer. I feel sick and hot right now.

Hi,
Your dog was vaccinated 1 year1month back,the effect of vaccine goes for 1 year. Your dog bit you after the date of protection by vaccine, the wound bled too,& you are in dilemma ,I understand your concern.
The vaccine effect does not wear off instantly, it remains for at least 3 months after words.
*Your dog is an inside dog, I don't think possibility of it's contact with other street dogs/un vaccinated pet dogs -so as to contact infection.iIf you are doubtful about it, please go ahed with rabies vaccination & get a booster for your pet too.
* If you are sure of non infection of your pet in last one month, be patient. It's good you had given first class treatment to the wound & taken injection
T. T. also.Get regular cleaning of wound/antibiotics/pain killers for wound as per doctor's advice.
* observe your pet for signs of rabies for next 10 days, if you find them start anti rabies injections right away. In case of no signs in pet, no need of vaccination.
