Do Genital Warts Turn White When Vinegar Is Applied?

Im female age 22, A little over a month ago I was given some gel to remove one singular genital wart, I'm still currently treating it because I did a vinegar test last night and the area turned white, I also have other areas that I've never noticed that are turning white now when vinegar is applied. Are warts the only thing that will turn white? I hate to go to the doctor to be told to treat these spots the same as the first one when I can treat it now at home but I also hate to treat these spots if they're not actually warts. Also I know it's possible to be rid of them completely at some point I'm just wondering how long I have to expect new eruptions until they just stop appearing. Thank you!

Hiya there.
I picked to answer your query as it read 'distress' all over it. Empathy.
Yes, aceto-whitening is an accepted test to detect warts as it reacts with the viral proteins giving this reaction & is a safe & fairly reliable indicator & usually used to detect 'cervical warts' by the gynecologists' et STD specialists'.
Having said that, yes these can persist for long periods & recur too; there can be false positives to the naked eye & it is best reviewed by a doctor specialised in the area & all these areas need be 'cauterised' at one time using either a chemical cautery &/or electric cautery depending on the lesions & expertise of said specialist. I have had good results using a topical 5% 5 Fluorouracil cream too but this needs care & medical supervision & prescription. Feel free to contact me or any other specialist near you using this HCM portal on our 'premium' packages to ensure privacy & post photographs of these lesions should you choose to. Good Luck & do practice safe sex. Cheers!
