Do Birth Control Pills Cause Ovarian Cysts?

hi..I have ovarian cyts measuring 6.dc...I have been put on treatment...I have some shape pain on and off my abdomen...I hope the cyts will not rupture...I do not want to under go sugery...I want to have children in future..do u think birth control pills gave me the cyts...because I take them offen

Hi I think it is not common to have cysts by birth control pills. They can form without any reason also. These can be follicular cysts which can resolve on its own. If the cyst is complex or endometriotic, they need a medical or surgical treatment according to the cause. So, talk to your doctor regarding the nature of cyst. Hope it helps.
