Hi, I am 39 years old, been on birth control pills to help with endometriosis (which has helped). I forget to take them on a fairly regular basis and now I am almost 3 weeks late for my period. I took a home pregnancy test I got at the dollar store about a week ago and it came up negative. But in the meantime, I'm exhausted almost all the time (except at night sometimes), I'm urinating much more frequently than usual and I've had some other symptoms that make me think I may be pregnant (increased discharge, more emotional than usual). Is there a specific test that is more accurate than others? And if I don't get my period soon, when should I see a doctor? What else could this be from? I feel like i may be pregnant (and it would be a blessing), also, Ive heard stories of women continuing to get negative test results for up to a month or 2 after a missed period. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you! Beth
