Do Antibiotics Lessen The Effect Of Birth Control Pills ?

I am on birth control and have taken antibiotics this past month. I always use back-up birth control but have missed my period this month. Can antibiotics affect this?

Hello.
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic forum.
Antibiotics are not usually responsible for the missed period. It may be due to the weakness arising from the disease for which you took the antibiotics. If this has happened for the first time then just wait for your period to come without any medicines.
