Do Tramadol And Ibuprofen Cause Side Effects Like Valium?

yes. I hope so. I am currently taking ibuprofen, st. johns wort, and tramadol (that is prescribed to me). I took a urine test last week and results came back as positive for valium type substance. I don t understand how this could happen as these are the only medications I am taking. can any of these or maybe a combination of any of them cause a result like this?? just very confused. thank you

Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.

Of the prescribed medications, Ibuprofen and St Johns Wort are most likely to be responsible for false positives for Valium (Diazepam).

However, any such false positive drug test should always be confirmed with a specific and accurate tests like gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

Hope this will clear your confusion.
Best wishes.
