Dizzy Spells When Lying Down And Turning The Head, Headache, Foggy Head, Unclear Thoughts. Anything Wrong?

I have had dizzy spells for the past week. Mostly they come on when I lie down and when I turn my head while standing. I am 24 years old and active. There isn't any reason why I would think pregnancy is the cause because I recently had my period and I had symptoms shortly after that. I also feel like my head is foggy and unclear a lot during the day. No other symptoms I can think of. Sometimes headaches after a difficult dizzy spell.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

The most likely cause of your symptoms is BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). Treatment would consist of betahistine tablets. Vestibular rehabilitation exercises are also helpful.
There is no need to worry as you would improve in a few days.
Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
