Dizzy Spells, Painful Indigestion. Taking Medication For High BP. Family History Of Heart Disease. Suggestions?

My husband has a family history of heart disease and I am just a little concerned. He has been complaining of dizzy spells and been having very painful indigestion lately. He does have high blood pressure and is on medication for that. But, I guess my question is, should he be concerned about how he has been feeling lately and make an appointment with his doctor?

dear patient

thanks for the query. Indeed, given the risk factors of gender and high blood pressure, it must be ruledout that these indigestion symptoms are not a manifestation of blocked arteries of the heart. A provider should see him and perhaps would be interested in obtaining a stress test to sort it down further
