Dizziness, Vomiting, Hearing Loss, Diagnosed With Profound Sudden Snhl. Zempred 64, 32 Mg, Complamina, Acyclovir Taken. Recovery Time?

I am 40 years old male and I was diagnosed with profound sudden SNHL in my left ear 2 weeks back. Since I had dizziness and vomitting, consulted the ENT on the next day of hearing loss and received 64 mg ZEMPRED for 3 days and 32 MG ZEMPRED for 7 days and it is being tapered currently. On 9th and 13th day of hearing loss, I also took IT. This is the 14th day and I still do not have any improvement. I also took Complamina and Acyclovir for a week. Is there a chance I will be able to recover? How long will it generally take for a recovery? Any other alternate therapy I can look for? Thanks to let me know.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Sudden SNHL is a difficult situation .
Even after oral steroids you have no response then you can go for Intratympanic Steroid therapy ie putting steroid injections in middle ear .
You also need to have MRI scan to rule out any lesion pressing over the nerve.
Continue consultation with your ENT specialist and may be you need more steroid tablets.
Also continue Complamina retard and multivitamin.
This hearing loss generally heals in first or second week, otherwise it may be difficult to treat it.
but do get done MRI scan ,Blood sugar,Blood pressure checked.
