Dizziness, No Appetite, No Injuries, Plays Sports, Went To Hot Pools.

Hi my 12 year old son is complaining of feeling dizzy and has no appetite since yesterday. He plays rugby and cricket but has had no injuries. We did go away to some hot pools on the weekend.

Hi,
This is most likely to be the early stage of a viral infection. Most possibly an upper respiratory infection. I suggest paracetamol and encourage plenty of fluids. Try a light diet but if he is not able to take this it will not matter for a day or two provided he is kept well hydrated.
Regards,
