Difficulty Swallowing, Vomiting, Choking. What Is The Problem?

I was hoping you could tell me what my problem might be. Sometimes when I eat I will swallow and then the food seems to stop in my throat. My mouth starts feeling like I am filling with water (spit)It might go down after a few minutes but there have been times when I have to vomit and them I will try to eat again and the same thing happens. It feels like I am choking. I eat small bits so I know it is not from to big of a piece of food.

Welcome to HCM.This seems to be a problem with deglutition, swallowing which involves the nervous system, muscles of the tongue, throat and larynx as also the oesophagus.Consulting a ENT specialist and getting a swallowing fluoroscopy/barium Swallow radiography done which will help identify the problem.A oesophageal manometry and barium swallow will help identify any disorders here.A neurological opinion may have to be sought if all other tests are normal.
