Difficulty swallowing, pinching sensation in throat, acid reflux, eosinophilic esphasgitus. Treatment?

I have acid reflux and eosinophilic esphasgitus. I am having serious trouble smallowing some of the smallest portions of liquid. I have a EGD scheduled for Wednesday! Is there anything I can do in the mean time because I feel like going crazy because it feels like someone is literally pitching my throat and its frustating to get air or food inside of my body.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Eosinophillic esophagitis is the allergic inflammatory condition of esophagus where th wall of esophagus is filled with eosinophills. it is most commonly caused by acid reflux and sometimes cause can be viral or fungal. your physician will guide you according to the diagnosis.

Acid reflux can cause ulceration of inner lining of esophagus so mean while you can have Rabeprazole on empty stomach to get rid of acid refluxes.
oral steroids like budisonide is effectively used and inhalers of flovent is commonly used to treat esophagitis. i hope this helps you, take care.
