Hello and welcome to HCM,

Waxing involves the use of hot wax on skin.
Application of hot wax followed by razor use and hot water bath can harm the skin.
Hot wax can scalding injury (a type of burn injury) to the skin and hot water application can further burn it.
However, the burns are superficial and heal up with time.
Scar is usually formed and it will fade out with time.
Application of steroids will not help as it is a burn injury and not immune mediated injury.
Certain ointments are available in the market which reduce the pigmentation.
Consult your dermatologist for prescription of the ointment.
Avoid using hot wax on skin as it can cause scalding injury.

Thanks and take care
