Did The Leep Procedure. Experiencing Bleeding During Intercourse. Causes And Cure For Symptoms?

I had the Leep procedure 5-6 weeks ago due to high grade of precancerous cells and my gynecologist recommended treating it aggressively. She instructed me of no sexual activity for 2 weeks and for about 2 weeks now I've experienced bleeding during intercourse and a smell of dried blood. I'm not in any discomfort but the bleeding is starting to be a concern.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The LEEP procedure is associated with some side effects after the procedure.
LEEP involves removal of the superficial layer of the cervix. This leaves the superficial surface bare.
The bare surface can lead to leucorrhea (discharge per vaginum) or bleeding.
I guess you have taken precautions for a period of 2 weeks.
If the symptoms are not resolving you can visit your gynecologist for the clinical examination of the cervix.

Thanks and take care
