Did Cardiac Arrest Or Pleural Effusion Cause The Demise?
I am just trying to understand my moms death., they list as cardiac arrest. When EMT were there they said her lungs were filling with fluid and aftr she went unconscious they couldn t tube her or intubate ., was trying to figure out what happened ., her face ballooned severely swelled right before she went unconscious., she had diabetes hypertension anxiety glaucoma COPD

Death in your mother's case is most likely to have caused by congestive cardiac failure leading to congestion of blood in the lungs leading to the development of fluid in the lungs.This can drastically lead to impairment in the respiratory function and oxygenation of the lung.COPD and diabetes have exacerbated the above the process.This leads to complete shut down of circulation leading to death.
