Diarrhoea, Mucus In Stool, Having Cramps And Feels Sick. Treatment?

i have had diarrhea now for 4 days, it is getting worse each day and is now yellow in colour and i am also having mucus come out with it, i am only 20 i ve never had this before and i have also got quite painful cramps and feel quite sick, just want to know what it is as i cant go to the doctors as its bank holiday til wednesday.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having an infection of the gastrointestinal tract and needs medical management.

You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with an antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily along with Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily.
A probiotic will have added benefits.

You should eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions.
Also take care of your hydration.
