Diarrhea, Vomiting, Loose Tan Stools. Getting Over Gastroenteritis. What Could Be This?

Hi there,

I am just getting over gastroenteritis. I had diarrhea (30+ bouts) and vomiting all day Sunday. Ended up at OB triage sunday afternoon (i am 39 weeks pregnant) for 2L IV fluids and nausea meds. Perked up a bit yesterday. No BM yesterday.

Today I have had 3 very loose tan stools. Is this to be expected? I'm more worried about the color being so light.

Thank you so much for any insight

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. forum.
When patient is pregnant ,having loose motion , I usually prescribes Intravenous fluids maximum as far as possible.
Curd, banana, rice in diet.
Consult a physician/ gynaecologist and get in treatment if needed.
Good luck.
