Not all fibroids really need aggressive treatment. If they are not symptomatic, they are usually left alone unless for some other reasons like difficulties getting pregnant.
If you have started having symptoms again like pain, spotting after intercourse, it may be that the fibroids are causing some problems already. I will strongly suggest that you consult with your treating physician for evaluation and may be treatment.
Also, I will like to advice that though you have been diagnosed with fibroids, there are many other diseases which can present with spotting and abdominal pain radiating to the leg. Some may be more difficult to treat if not diagnosed early and manged adequately.
For these reasons, please consult with you treating physician for a health check.
