I have been diagnosed with small vessel blood disease of the brain. I was diagnosed in Sept 2011. I am starting to not recognize a couple of word, feeling foggy or spaced out/ confused more often and last find my balance is a little out of wack some times. Is this something that makes sense to this condition. Do you know of specialist as my Doctor doesn t seem too concern but I am nervous. Thanks, JW

Hello and thanks for posting your query on HCM
Small vessel disease affects small blood vessels like small areries, capillaries and small veins. Involvement of vessels affects the blood supply to the brain.
All the symptoms that you have described are due to this disease.
You need to visit aneurologists and get medications prescribed which will halt this disease process.

Thanks and take care
