Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst. Have Fever And Pain. Blood Work Normal. Had Partial Hysterectomy. Will I Have Internal Bleeding?
I have been diagnosed with a 3cm ovarian cyst and have had fever and pain every day for the last 6 months. Surgery is not an option and all blood work comes back normal, no infections. I have had a partial hysterectomy over a year ago so I do not have menstrual cycles. I am asking that if/when the cyst burst will I have bleeding or will I have internal bleeding ?
The possibility of bursting the cyst will depends on the size of the cyst and its growth. If that is a hemorrhagic cyst you can have internal bleeding. Ovarian cysts usually won't present with external bleeding. You once check for CA 125 levels and possibility of abdominal tuberculosis. After that if your symptoms are mild you can wait and watch with regular followups. If your pain becomes severe better to go for surgery.
