I was diagnosed with lymes disease in 2001, having contracted it and suffering from the unknown since 1988. I live in the state of WA and was found to be the first diagnosed person in my county with Lymes disease. I also suffer from disc degeneration and R.A, Because it was over ten years ago, I have been called everything from a hypochondriac to a fake. I am getting medical attention, and fortunately 11 years after the fact, my Dr. prescribed iv antibiotic drip for 17 days. That was two years ago and I wish, but I don t feel anything improved. There are a whole slug of symptons/pain issues that I deal with and get brushed off as oh it ll get better. We ll do injections... Prilotherapy??? Which I did do. Absolutely no help. I can t live day after day....with pain, going to be with pain, then waking up to it again. I m a positive person. Keep myself fit..60 years old and 108 lbs. Please help. I also wonder why my current drs. are so evasive, even after getting conclusive lab reports and MRI s. They don t answer my questions and think that the pain might just go away. With years of body training in weights, gymnastics, yoga , walking,running and swimming, I give up with Drs. and feel that maybe a street drug will help.
