Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
can reoccur during adulthood. In adults it would more commonly be seen in the back of the knees, front of the elbows and the neck.
The rash usually starts with itching followed by the appearance of a red bumpy rash
. Persistent rubbing may result in thick plaques.
If this is the presentation of the rash you have then it is more likely eczema.
It may be best to visit your doctor for an evaluation before initiating any treatment.
IF it is an eczematous rash you need to : (1) keep your skin moist, this is key to the resolution of the rash. It is normally recommended that within 3 minutes of leaving the bath, moisturizing agents are applied.
They should be put on multiple times during the day
(2)you would need a prescription for steroid
(3) use simple soaps, detergents and other hygienic products
I hope this helps
