Diagnosed with descending perineum syndrome manifesting as painful rectal lump. Treatment?

I have been diagnosed with descending perineum syndrome which manifests itself in my case as a lump in the rectum which is painful (stress usually seems to make it worse) - I have seen 5 specialists with no advice as to treatment. I have taken codeine (10mg) regularly for some time. Is there anything that can be done for this condition?
