Diagnosed With Acid Reflux, Pyloric Stenosis, Bloating. Taking Prevacid. On Probiotics. What Is Wrong?
I was diagnosed years ago with acid reflux. I am a sixty year old 5'4" female. I had pyloric stenosis at 6 weeks of age back in 1953 and am tired of having stomach bloating and burning after I eat. 1.5 years ago I went off all wheat and all dairy. I had been doing so well that I quit taking the prevacid that my doctor had prescribed, I take lots of pro biotics. but lately I seem to be right back at square one again. I usually feel quite well all day and only start to feel the burning and pain after dinner.
Pyloric stenosis if causes severe symptoms like bloating, nausea, vomiting should be treated with surgery. It is possible to make a kind of stomach bypass which will help in stomach emptying and can make your symptoms disappear. Please visit general surgeon and consider this option.
Acid blocking medicines, if are effective, should be continued. Especially that your stomach emptying is not as quick as regular. Please discuss with your doctor Metoclopramidum treatment (it helps with stomach emptying).
Hope this will help. Regards.
