Diagnosed With PCOS. Took FSH Injection. What Are My Chances Of Conceiving With PCOS?
Hi, I am 26 year old lady married from last 3 years. Me and my husband decided to have a baby and thats when I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 months back. I have been on medication since then and have reduced 2-3 kgs. This month I even took FSH injection to stimulate ovulation. I want to know what are my chances of conceiving and how long does it take to conceive with PCOS??
Hi, Thanks for the query. Poly cystic ovary syndrome presents with symptoms like irregular menstrual cycles, anovulation, insulin resistance etc. If hormonal imbalance is severe that can lead to infertility. By decreasing the weight and treatment hormonal imbalance can be corrected to some extent. Once your cycles become regularize and ovulation occur, the possibility of pregnancy increases. So follow ovulation with follicular study. Possibly your ovarian follicle will reach sufficient size and release at expected time. You can plan unprotected intercourse around that period. This will help the possibility of pregnancy. Take care.
