Diagnosed Ulcer Colitis. Agitation, Chilling Fever, Disorientation After Taking Prescribed Zantac. Advice

hello Doc.i dont speak the language very fluent,but this is very important to me,ive been diagnose with ulcer colitis.my dr. prescrived me to take zantac,i been having bad side effect such as agetated,chilling fever at night and feeling distoriented.ive taken this med for over two weeks,pls i need advice,because its hard for me to get hold of my dr.thank you...

Zantac is ranitidine which is a H2 receptor blocker used in the treatment of reflux gastritis, or acidity.

The drug itself is a very safe drug used in millions of people , but if you are experiencing side effects ,it can be easily switched to Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole.
