Diagnosed Peri-anal Infection, Completed Antibiotics. Still Painful And Swelling. Remedy

Hi , i have been struggling with swelling between my anus and rectum. I have been to see a physician who prescribed and antibiotic with a diagnosis of peri-anal infection(no bleeding, no discharge or even any evidence of external hemmaroids) . I have completed the antibiotic course and yet the swelling is only getting worse and more painful when I have bowel movement.I am scheduled to see a specialist in a couple of days but would like to know if there is any temporary pain relief for this problem/symptom.
