If your child doesnt show any symptoms of low blood sugar like sweating, palpitations and cold clammy skin, then there is no need to give any oral sugar repeatedly just gong by the blood sugar levels, however in lieu of persistent lower values of blood sugar,it is advised, that you consult his doctor and readjust the dose of injectable insulin.
You must be vigil for the signs of hypoglyemia and must give sugar to him orally whenever the need arises. He must always carry some sugar cubes with him.
