Diabetic. Suffering From Jaundice, Fever. Lost Weight. Diet To Gain Weight?

hi my dad is diabetic(age 55)and suffering from jaundice his jaundice level is 0.5 but he suffering fever all so he become very week , It would be really helpful if you could suggest some diet for him which do not elevate his sugar levels as well as aid in curing jaundice.what type of environment he wants please suggest me my dad is in past very fat but now a day he lost his wight please suggest me ,anu

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
If serum bilirubin level is 0.5 ( you mentioned in your query that jaundice level is 0.5) , than it is normal.
Mention blood sugar level, urine sugar level, HB A 1 C level , complete blood cells , E S R ( chronic infection).
Process is that fructose is an invert sugar and this is safe for diabetic patient.
Most of fruits contains fructose except banana and grapes.
High protein diet as cheese, you can use ( if kidney is normal)
Pulses are very good source of protein.
Avoid rice,wheat flour and sweets.
