Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

YES

Good control of BP is very very important in a diabetic.
It will prevent kidney damage - starting with micro-albuminuria and progressing to full blown failure
Many diabetics ultimately develop Chronic Kidney Disease and end up with Chronic Kidney Failure.
The sequence can be postponed pr prevented by proper control of pressure.

A Cardiologist or Nephrologist is the best one for treating the pressure.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
