Diabetes Type 2 And An Abdominal Aneurism. Treatment?

I am taking care of my dad and he is 89 years old and for the last 2 days he has been real tired. I checked his B/P and it was 180/120 and I also noticed when I checked his pulse that he had some arythmia and his respiration was 23. I gave him nitro tabs. A total of 3 and a baby aspirin . He has diabetes type 2 and an abdominal anyurism. Sorry about the spelling. What do you think about this. He does not want me to call 911 but I know I will before I just let him die because he don t like hospitals. Please advise me as to what you feel I should do! Martha

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir/madam

Stage 4 liver disease is not reversible condition. But still with the help of insulin he can survive, but to give oral medicines it is very dangerous.
Secondly rupture of abdominal aneurism is very common in liver disease patients because, it causes portal hypertension which is also not good for aneurism.

What best you can do is to improve or keep intact the remaining liver functions by using hepatic detoxifiers or antioxidants.

Thanks
