General & Family Physician 's  Response
Your father underwent an echocardiography .What the results mean are as follows.
Mild concentric LVH means the left ventricle is thickened usually seen in hypertensives
Heart chambers normal in size.
Regional wall motion abnormality in cases where patient suffers a hear attack and a part of the heart moves in an abnormal way.your father has no such problem
your fathers Left ventricular ejection fraction is 61% that is 61% of the blood contained inyour fathers left ventricle is ejected when it contracts
Grade 1 diastolic dysfunction is normal in old age
Your father has mild insufficiency of the mitral ,tricuspid and aortic valves due to old age witha ge related changes.
Overall this echocardiography result shows age related changes. There is no need to worry as your father has only very mild problems for his age

Diabetologist Dr. Pratap VGM's  Response
DEAR SIR/MADAM

IF PATIENT I HAVING FOLLOWING CONDITIONS SUCH AS
1. DIABETES
2. HYPERTENSION

THEN CONCENTRIC LEFT VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY IS COMMON, IN THESE CONDITION

BUT OTHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS MITRAL, TRICUSPID AND AORTIC REGURGITATION IS CAUSED BY AGE FACTORS.

BUT EJECTION FACTOR IS NORMAL, SO NOTHING TO WORRY MUCH

BUT AVOID TAKING DRUGS WHICH CAUSES FLUID RETENTION AND WHICH WORSENS THE SIGNS OF HEART FAILURE.

THANKS
