Diabetes, Had Surgery For Wound In Leg With Pus, Advised Dressing Of The Wound, Want To Know Diet, Precautionary Measures. Advice?

my dad is a diabetic patient . One month ago he had a wound in leg ( Toe ) doctor informed that pus formed in his toe and they made a surgery in leg. his sugar level is 125.our doctor asked to dress after 5 days What can we do sir? what should be the intake food . to heal the wound what precautions need to be taken.

He needs strict blood sugar control propably with insulin,regular diabetic diet,protection of wound from external sources,should not walk with bare foot.
