Welcome to HCM,
I appreciate your query, this is very common in diabetic patients.
You must understand in diabetes there are metabolic problem insulin resistance and if it is Type II diabetes endocrine function of pancreas is abnormal.
You must pay attention to your diet in the form of calories and carbohydrate count and physical exercise in order to control blood sugar level and reduce weight if you are overweight.
Your diabetes medicines are good kindly see your Physician/Endocrinologist to adjust the doses and if blood sugar is not controlled then adding Basal insulin will help to control and monitor your diabetic control by FBS,PPBS on monthly basis and HBA!c every 3 months.
You can live normal life with diabetes please take care.
Ayurvedic medicines do not have scientific evidence to suggest there use, and I can not comment about them.
Take care
Good Luck

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
The best for you to be is to carry on with allopathic medicines as you would have better control of your blod sugar levels.Meticulous control of blood sugar is required to prevent any future micro as well as macro vascular complications.
You must consult a diabetologist or a physician and must get yourself investigated thoroughly by getting kidney function tests, lipid profile, urine test and eye examination done.
You must also take care of any rise in lipid levels as dyslipidemia is responsible for macro vascular complications.
Although you can control your diabetes with Ayurvedic medicines but it would be very difficult to control all your parameters with these Ayurvedic preparations.
