Developed Crusty Eyelids,grey Mucus & Slight Erythemia After Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

My adult son had general anesthesia for athroscopic knee surgery on 12/28 then developed crutsty eyelids,gray mucus and slight erythemia OU-I advised artificial tears QID which helped until this evening and now he has increase in mucus and tearing-redness unchanged-

Hello,
It sounds like he has come in contact with a virus or bacteria that causes conjunctivitis. He needs to be seen by a doctor and may need antibiotic eye drops.
