Detox Found Different Drugs In System. Not Talking Sense. Will He Be Normal?

Hello my name is Tiffany, and im very concerned for my friend. he has had a somewhat wild weekend, a detox center found 4 different types of drugs in his system. He was hallucinating sayn someone is guna kill him. He was just picked up at a Detox Center and he has been in ther custody for the past 24 hours and hes still talking out of it. meaning hes not making any since. What im basically asking is will he be normal again?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. I believe that your friend is on many substances and has been taking these substances for a long period of time. I hope you can talk your friend into going into rehab. I believe you need to consult a psychiatrist who can help with getting your friend help for all the medical problems and long term neuropsychiatric problems that is probably occurred due to polysubstance dependence. I hope you do so as soon as possible to get your friend a chance to be normal like before.

I hope this helps. Take care of yourself and have a lovely day!
