Delayed Periods. Taking Birth Control Pills. Diagnosed With Typhoid. Can I Continue Birth Control Pills?
I am taking birth control pills for the first time and has completed 21 days but has still not got my periods despite of my dates? Is there any chances that these pills might not have worked. Another query is yesterday I have been diagnosed with Typhoid so have started medication for that. Let me know if its alright to continue birth control pills with these medications?
Hello Thanks for your query. Some antibiotics do interact with birth control pills. Continue using your pack all the same, but use backup contraception like condoms just in case. Also, wait for your period, as sometimes, it does not come as soon as 21 pill are completed. If you skip your normal period, consult your doctor. take care.
