A home pregnancy test can show a result only 3-7 days after a missed period and you have done it a little early. You may repeat the test after a couple of days with a fresh early morning sample of urine or go for the blood test. Also, you should see a specialist to exclude local causes for the spotting and further management. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
