Delayed Periods. Getting Treated For Chlamydia. Reason?
Hello. How are you?
.. Today the 5th of April 2013. My period is always due today & it is not present today . Also I get bad cramping on the 4th (a day before). Unfortunatly, I found out I have Chlamydia but soon I will get treated ...(I already had a First Response Test & it was negative.) What could possibly be my problem?

It is very common problem to get delayed period sometimes. It is not related to any infection.
It seems from your history that you are not taking any other medication and no any sexual activity, so the only reason remains is stress. You might have had an acute episode of stress due to any reason. As stress can be one of the important cause of delayed period because it causes secretion of certain hormones which can modify your cycle and can delay your period even for more than 10 -15 days. so kindly reduce stress and relax yourself. You would be free in next few days of the period.

I am glad to hear that your first response test to chlamydia after treatment was negative.
I understand that your periods are delayed. If you have not had them till now, it might be a good idea to get yourself tested for pregnancy. Do a pregnancy test yourself first before going to an OBGYN. I hope this helps.
