Delayed period with smudged light brown discharge, sharp pains in lower abdomen, negative HPT. What could be the reason?

I am on CD 26 out of 24 Day Cycle. I have not received my period and instead I have smudged light brown discharge which appears only when I check my cervix . This morning, upon checking my cervix, I pulled out brown stretchy mucus (egg white consistency). My hpt turned out negative this morning. Instead of typical period cramping, I am experiencing needle sharp pains in my lower abdomen.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In my opinion as your urine pregnancy test is negative get a pelvic ultrasonography and b HCG testing because it can be an early pregnancy or worse ectopic tubal pregnancy and then visit a gynecologist with reports.
it is not something to be taken lightly because at times it ruptures silently and patient can have massive bllod loss.
In case you have further questions you can consult me on health care magic forum and i will be happy to help
Take care and wish you all the best.
