Deformed, Painful Fingers. Suffered An Injury Years Ago, Not Fractured. How To Treat This?

5 years ago my wife's 2 hands were on the window while talking to our daughter. The windows rolled up and her index finger and middle fingers were pinned . After window was rolled down they were injured but not seemed to be fractured. Today now they are in terrible pain and are now 4 fingers that are twisted and have something under her skin at the joints pushing them and painfully deformed. What is it and what can be done? Thanks Matt

Hi,
From history it seems that due to crushing injury there might be having sprain, damage to soft tissues giving rise to swelling, induration and infection.
There might be possibility of having fracture of carpal bones as well.
Go for x-ray of the part.
Take one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course.
Apply ice pack for few days.
Ok and take care.
