Darkened Labia Majora After Waxing. What Is The Reason?

Hi, i m a 24 year girl, not sexually active and i ve been waxing my bikini area for the past 8 years or so. A complete (Brazilian) wax. Yesterday was my most recent wax and after the redness was gone I notice that my labia majora are much dark than they usually are. This is the first time i ve noticed it that way. What could be the reason for that?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The darker color of the area could be due to pigmentation caused by a chronic irritation in the area. This may or may not be related to waxing that you have been doing. Local allergies to the undergarments that you are using need to be ruled out.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
