Dark Patches On Face, Neck Due To Sunburn. IPL Advised. Will It Help?

I am 56 years old. My face got sunburnt with dark patches on the face and the neck in Nov 2012. I was advised to apply Elecon and Triglow and was given the tablets. There is no improvement at all in 7 months. I have now been advised IPL treatment. Do I have LPP? Will IPL help for sure? How many sittings are required? Is there any better treatment?

Hi,
Your condition seems to be LPP.Since the pigmentation is resistant to topical depigmenting agents you can consider getting laser for pigmentation reduction.QSwitchedNDYag laser might be helpful. You better consult a dermatologist specialised in cosmetology for laser treatment.
