Cut on base of thumb. Cluster of vein seen. Tendon damage?

Hi, I cut my palm today at work with a utility knife. Fresh, clean blade so it was a very clean cut; moreso a puncture. It went in about a 1/4 inch and is that wide. It's at the base of my thumb, about where it balls and there's a cluster of thin blue veins. It bled pretty bad until I got pressure on it. Clean and bandaged, no numbness; simply curious if I should be worried about tend damage in the future or anything else.

thanks for using health care magic.

Tendon damage manifests as an alteration in movement of
affected area. In case of a tendon injury of the thumb, there
will be reduced movement in a particular direction of movement
and will be associated with weakness of the thumb or inability
to move the thumb in that direction or to support a weight in that
It is also accompanied by pains that accompany any movement or
activity with use of the said thumb.

If you do not have any problem with movement of the thumb then
there is less likely to be a severe ligament or tendon damage if at all
there is any.

Exercise regular hygiene on the wound

Hope this helps you.
