Cramp In Right Leg With Indentation In Skin, Terrible Pain. Advice
I just woke up with a terrible cramp in my right leg. There was a deep 5' long indentation in my skin where I could actually see the shape of my two lower leg bones. My foot was also affected and in a cramped position with toes inward. I looked as if someone put a vacuum hose at the bottom of my foot and was sucking my fluid from my leg or foot? The pain was terrible but everything eventually returned to normal after I massaged my leg. Please advise.
In most of the patients, the muscle cramps are harmless. They occur due to OVERUSE OF A MUSCLE, DEHYDRATION, MINERAL DEPLETION LIKE CALCIUM, MAGNESIUM in the diet etc.
The self care measures can be useful in treating cramps like stretching exercises, keeping yourself well hydrated. Moist heat fomentation over the affected area relaxes the muscles An ocassional muscle relaxant may be needed for recurrent cramps during night times.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
