Could Vasovagal Dizziness Cause Blackouts And Loss Of Memory For Short Time?

my daughter was diagnosed with vasovagal dizziness. Is it possible for her to have blackouts and not remember what she did for a short period of time? She changed a couple of light bulbs in the kitchen and doesn't remember. She said that I was scaring her when I told her what she did.

Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Short amnesia is not a typical symptom in vasovagal syncope or dizziness. For this reason, I would recommend performing an EEG and a brain MRI to investigate for seizures.
Transient amnesia can also occur during anxiety. So, if all the above tests result normal, you should consider anxiety as a possible cause of her troubles.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
