Could Umbilical Cord Loop Around Fetal Neck Create Problem During Labor?
Hello doctor,i m 37 weeks pragnent. during ultrasound a single umbilical cord loop around fetal neck at present . Fetal weight is 3054 gms. Is there any problem during labour due to this cord? some people says in this type of situation the c- section is cumpulsory .? is that true or not?

yes,if in ur scan there is a loop around neck ,then there may be some problem during labour as head tries to come down and cord is still up so there may be constriction on the neck of baby that causes fetal asphyxia .,that may endanger ur baby so better to go for C-section.in primi this is safe,in multi risk of normal delivery can be taken
