Could Tickling In Nostril, Cough And Cold Be An Aftereffect Of Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy today and as soon as I awoke in recovery, noticed a tickling up in my right nostril. i remember the staff saying the tubing they were using to give oxygen was new and it might smell, and it did smell when they put it on before procedure. That tickling sensation continued and after I sat up to dress and leave. my eye watered and nose began dripping. These symtoms have continued all day and have actually gotten much worse. I have had so much fluid in my nose that it has already drained into my bronchial tubes and have a very barking cough. My nose tickling has been the worst symtom and really is getting on my nerves. What do you think is causing this and will it last very long.? I almost feel like I have developed a terrible cold...guess I could have but didn t have any symtoms till I woke in recovery from the colonoscopy.

Your symptoms suggest that you are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection. You will be fine after a course of antihistamines and nasal drops.
