Could The Repeat CT Scan Be Normal?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... i got a catscan taken 2 weeks ago because an earlier scan done on my ovaries showed that I had an 8cm tumour where my kidney should be...., i now have to wait yet another 2 more weeks to see the specialist, my question is can I assume that nothing too drastic showed up in the scan results or they would see me sooner?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.It all depends on the nature of the mass/tumour.
2.Initially an ultrasound scan can evaluate the nature of the mass, and its extensions.
3.The CT is done in order to confirm the findings and enhancement pattern and at the same time to see how it is with the adjacent structures.
4.Dont worry, in worst cases, they may excise the mass.
5.Iam afraid, difficult to presume the report, you have to wait. ( i would have helped out if you have provided with previous scan details)
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
