Could The Pain In The Collar Bone Is Related To Heart Or Is It A Muscular Pain?

Hello Doctor,

I had recently done my lipid profiling and I have cholesterol problem. My total cholesterol count is 280. hdl direct - 36, ldl direct - 186, triglycerides - 534, tc/hdl - 7.8, ldl/hdl - 5.2, vldl - 106.76

I consulted a GP who has put me on tablets and i have been taking them for about a week now. But for the past 3 -4 days I am experiencing a slight pain 2 inches below the left collar bone in the chest and a little numbness and pain in my left arm especially left shoulder, tricep area and elbow which extends to my fingers. The pain below the collar bone is not continuous and I feel it occasionally when I speak or breathe. Could it be related to the heart or is it a muscular problem? However there is no perspiration or any other uneasiness besides the indications mentioned.

I need your advice doctor.

Thanks and regards

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
hello Mr. Dinesh Nair
I think you have radiating pain from solulder to fingers.but you have cholesterol problem so once you have to go for electrocardiogram.

anginal pain may be recurrent and radiating and related to abnormality of heart.

if you have normal ecg than go for physiotherapy treatment.take inferential therapy to treat radiatiing pain.also take short wave diathermy to decrease your pain. do gental exercise of shoulder, elbow and wrist and fingers will definitely help you.

thanks
